St Bede’s College Celebrates Google for Education’s Transformation Hero Award!
We are thrilled to announce that Francisco Calmaestra, Assistant Head in charge of Strategic Projects and Innovation at St Bede’s College, has been awarded the prestigious Transformation Hero Award by Google for Education!
This award recognises exceptional individuals and institutions within Google Reference Schools and Colleges that are leading the way in leveraging technology to revolutionise learning experiences.

May has been an exceptional month this year. We started with the coronation of Our Lady, placing all our worries and hard work at her feet and asking Her for her protection, especially for our U5 and U6 students who started their exams on the 9th.

It has been a very busy month. We came back from Easter break and it is a credit to our students how they are focused and working hard in preparation for exams.

As we approach the summer months, it’s crucial for us to have an open conversation about the potential risks associated with unattended house parties and leaving teenage children alone at home.

Upper Third Archie is the first pupil in the College to achieve the coveted Gold badge for positive points! Archie and Mrs J Ward, Head of Upper Third sat down for a chat to discuss his excellent achievements.

Culture Week is an event organised by the Bedian Diversity Initiative, a student-led group committed to promoting an appreciation of diversity at St. Bede’s College.

The success of Prep 6’s rendition of “Von Trapped!” serves as a shining example of the power of the arts in education.

We are absolutely thrilled to see the return of our celebrated department magazine. Our theme for this edition was Historical Mysteries. This volume has been brilliantly edited by Aaron Ankrah and has been causing quite a stir around College – people have been coming up to me wanting to talk about Richard III!

The commitment of our pupils, staff and parents to the success of our musical production was inspiring. Months of hard work paid off and Legally Blonde filled the College with outstanding performances and happy faces.

It is with nothing but joy and gratitude that I write to you on the last day of term in 2023. This month we celebrated the coming of Our Saviour.

Lower Sixth A-Level Maths and Further Maths students, embarked on a study trip to King’s Conference Centre Manchester for the Maths in Action live event.
