Following the success of last year’s Hamper appeal, we were encouraged by the huge success of the project and were really touched to see at first hand how a relatively small gesture could mean so much to others. This year’s response was amazing. Christmas jumpers were on display and the donations came in thick and fast. It was literally a room full of donations which needed to be sorted, packed, wrapped and sent.
I must admit to being a little worried. Help came again from the fantastic students of our Sixth Form. led by Chloe, Isobelle, Patience and their newly formed teams. They got to work. Mr Rose, Head of Sixth Form said ‘I cannot believe the scale of what has been achieved here. I have been blown away by the sheer generosity and teamwork in our community.’
