The St Bede’s College Nursery is an integral part of our Prep school and is where our pupils begin their educational journey with us in a happy, vibrant and caring community. Our nursery provision is stimulating and exciting and benefits from the facilities of our Prep, including our playground, library and IT.

The children make excellent progress in all aspects of their learning, developing their confidence and skills and are given the best possible start to their education. To gain a good insight into our Nursery and early years’ provision is to come and visit on one of our Open Days held throughout the year or to book an individual visit. I look forward to welcoming you personally.

From the Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception Class) through to the end of a child’s primary journey in Prep 6, our curriculum is bright, pacy, engaging and varied. Highly qualified and specialist teachers, together with small class sizes provide the best possible education for each and every child in the Prep.

The Prep is an ideal place to develop a life-long love of learning where curiosity thrives in our vibrant and forward thinking environment in which to grow and learn. We believe passionately in the importance of traditional family values and encouraging every pupil to develop genuine friendships. Each child in the Prep is known and valued in a community where there are no barriers to learning. St Bede’s is a very special place, where young people are nurtured and supported in order to flourish and reach their full potential. The College is extremely proud of its Catholic heritage and has been educating young people with respect, dignity and compassion for over 140 years.

Throughout its history, the College has encouraged its pupils to be confident and modest young people, able to make the right decisions when the moments arise and determined to always give of their best. Our core values remain unchanged and we are firmly proud of them – the timeless Catholic qualities of humility, compassion and empathy for others.

At St Bede’s Sixth Form, we challenge students to achieve the highest A level results of which they are capable, while recognising that education encompasses far more than academic achievement. Our mission is to equip students not only with the knowledge and skills required for academic success, but also with the self-belief and resilience needed to face the challenges of an ever-changing world. We are committed to guiding them to develop the character, values and the personal qualities necessary to thrive as future leaders in society and want our young people to leave the College feeling confident and prepared to excel in their chosen paths.
