The Upper Sixth Leavers’ had an eventful few days as they said farewell to St Bede’s. Wednesday was a fun packed afternoon as the girls took on the staff in the traditional netball fixture. It was played in a wonderful spirit with the Upper Sixth girls edging a close contest. After that it was down to the College playing fields for a round robin, mixed game of rounders with one of the lads teams securing victory. Thursday, on the newly named ‘Regis Barbecue Terrace’ Mr Gallagher treated the Upper Sixth to a ‘Proper Aussie Barbie’ that certainly hit the spot. After that it was all down to Brantingham Road for the much anticipated Staff v Leavers’ football match, again an evenly contested match was played in an excellent spirit and the game finished 9-9, with the lads securing the cup on penalties. All in all a great send off for a wonderful group of Upper Sixth.
