Chemistry Department

Chemistry is a popular and thriving subject at St Bede’s, offered both at A Level and GCSE. We have five experienced teachers and a specialist technician, and work across three dedicated laboratories.

We teach about the elements and materials that make up the world around us, from common household materials such as plastics and metals, to the complex molecules that make up living organisms.

We are committed to offering a wide range of practical work and also offer many co-curricular opportunities, from our lower school Chemistry Club to support for the Chemistry Olympiad.
