College Curriculum

In the Senior College, students follow a balanced, core curriculum in Upper Third and Lower Fourth (Years 7 and 8) before making option choices for GCSE at the start of Upper Fourth (Year 9).

Most of our students study nine GCSEs/iGCSEs (we use the specification that we deem to be most interesting, that are also fair in terms of marking and accessibility). The core subjects include English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Religion, and Science. Most students take the Trilogy Science (worth two GCSEs, covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics), with an option to take Separate Sciences for an individual GCSE in each discipline. Students also choose three additional options.

In the Sixth Form, we offer a wide range of A-level courses. Students can choose to take either four A-levels or three A-levels plus an EPQ or Core Mathematics qualification.

This curriculum is supplemented by our PSMEE programme, Senior Games, and the Harvard Leadership Programme.
