Choosing options for U4, GCSE and A Levels
Our tradition at St Bede’s College has always been to offer students as much choice as possible in order that they may follow their own individual interests and passions.
What should you consider when making your choice?
1. Consider what areas and styles of subjects you are good at.
2. DO WHAT YOU THINK YOU WILL ENJOY!
3. What subject might you regret not studying when it comes to choosing GCSEs/A Levels?
4. Languages are vital tools in an increasingly diverse and shrinking world.
5. All subjects have equal merit as GCSEs/A Levels and when considered by employers or universities.
The pastoral team and I provide advice that is impartial and not based upon our subject areas. Heads of Departments are the best people to ask for information on a subject, but will naturally be keen to recruit you for their subject! Ask the students who currently do subjects what they think of the courses and then come to a considered and thought out decision that is your own.
