St Bede’s Parents and Friends Association
At St Bede’s, our Parents and Friends Association (PFA) plays a vital role in fostering a sense of community through activities and fundraising events that celebrate our shared values of faith, family, friendship, and fun. We believe in coming together to contribute our time, talents, and ideas, all in support of our school, our children, and our dedicated teachers.
We are proud of our vibrant and committed PFA team, which includes all parents from both the College and the Preparatory School. There’s no formal joining process—every parent is already a valued member. We work closely with our Headteacher, Mrs. Kemp, and the wider teaching staff to ensure our efforts align with the school’s vision.
The PFA Committee meets once a month, either in school or via Zoom, and we warmly welcome all parents to join us when they can. We understand that schedules can be busy, so there’s no obligation to attend every meeting. We value your time, so our meetings are guided by a timed agenda to ensure they start and finish promptly. To keep everyone in the loop, we share PFA updates through class WhatsApp groups, with each class having a representative to help disseminate information.
We’re fortunate to have the support of the College’s social media team, who assist us in promoting our events with engaging content and timely updates. Our PFA hosts a range of events throughout the year, including our popular Summer and Christmas Fairs, a Comedy Night, pre-loved uniform sales, and more. This year, we added an Art Evening to our calendar—a joyful and successful event that we hope to repeat! We’re always open to fresh ideas, so if you have a suggestion for a new activity or event, we’d love to hear from you. The funds we raise go directly towards supporting our children and enhancing their school experience.
