Upper Fourth Christmas Markets
Mrs Corbett – Head of Business
In the penultimate week of term, the Vaughan corridor was alive with our U4 Business students showing off their entrepreneurial skills, the culmination of a project they have been working on over the last half term. In tandem with their theory lessons, they have been putting their knowledge into action by completing primary and secondary market research, learning about their customer needs and how to succeed in the face of competition. And competition there was…. as 16 stalls vied for the business of other College students and staff!
There were waffles, noodles, sweet cones, milkshakes, hot chocolate, cookies and churros galore, as well as games and a sweet and chocolate tombola.
The students are being assessed as a team throughout the project on aspects of their management, including their market research, planning of the stall, working to a budget, team work, creativity and initiative as well as their ability to generate profit. We were so proud of the way they conducted and organised themselves – winners will be announced shortly.
A special thanks goes to the site team, housekeeping and Mr Mason for their support with the set up and smooth running of the event – we couldn’t have done it without their help!
