Team Rudolph Christmas Fair 2025

Mr James Sowden – Business Teacher

Huge congratulations to all our U4 Business students who participated in the Christmas Markets. Their ability to work and communicate as a team, organise themselves and persevere when there were setbacks was truly magnificent. However, having been assessed on the quality of their market research, planning, organisation, profit and their evaluation of the project there could only be one overall winner.

Team Rudolph truly distinguished themselves, securing a well-merited victory in the U4 Christmas Market challenge. Tasked with the complex process of designing and coordinating a festive stall, the group, comprising of Alice, Paris, Rae, and Lara, delivered a performance that blended creative flair with rigorous organisation.

The team’s entrepreneurial spirit was undoubtedly their standout quality. Rather than settling for a conventional idea, they collaborated to develop a commercially viable concept that resonated with their peers. By identifying a specific gap in the market, Alice and Paris helped steer the group toward offering chocolate strawberries, a choice that successfully drove footfall and maximised revenue. This level of market awareness, championed by Rae and Lara, demonstrated a maturity and innovative edge that transformed a simple task into a thriving venture.

Logistically, the team’s execution was exemplary. From the early stages of budgeting and procurement to the finalising their pricing strategy, Alice, Paris, Rae, and Lara remained meticulously prepared. Their ability to navigate setbacks, ranging from microwave malfunctions to sudden shifts in resource availability, showed remarkable resilience. Through clear delegation and foresight, they ensured the stall ran smoothly, allowing them to focus entirely on providing excellent service to their customers throughout the day.

Well done Team Rudolph!
