Twelve Books of Christmas

A well established Christmas tradition in the Prep is the annual Reading Challenge. What better time to slow down and enjoy the joy that stories bring? This year was a team challenge with every class given the task of reading twelve Christmas books during Advent. As ever, the children responded with great enthusiasm! 

It was such a pleasure to hear the Prep buzzing with Christmas book talk and to observe how each class approached the task differently. Our Prep librarians, Gabriella and Jimena, supported all classes to reach their goal and to get the most from their reading journey.

All classes were successful and agreed that it provided lovely whole class reading opportunities. There are rumours that Reception Class is still going……nineteen books and counting!
