Prep 1 & 4 trip to the Science and Industry Museum
Miss Eleanor Harrioson – Prep 4 Teacher and Prep Science Coordinator
On 14th November, Prep 1 and Prep 4 embarked on an exciting trip to the Science and Industry Museum, perfectly aligning with their concept curriculum topic on Movement and Prep 4’s science focus on the Human Body. The day began in the experiment gallery, where students explored key scientific concepts through hands-on activities that sparked their curiosity and encouraged exploration.
Following the gallery, the children enjoyed the Revolution show, where they learned about the remarkable inventions that emerged from the Industrial Revolution in Manchester. This experience not only deepened their understanding of historical advancements but also illustrated how these inventions have shaped our society and continue to impact our lives today.
The trip concluded with a visit to the Operation Ouch! Brains, Bogies and You! exhibition, where students explored the five senses in a lively and engaging manner. This interactive exhibition allowed the children to connect their learning about the human body to real-life situations, making the experience more relatable and memorable.
Overall, the trip was a fantastic opportunity for both Prep 1 and Prep 4 to learn together, reinforcing their curriculum topics in a vibrant and stimulating environment that fostered teamwork and enquiry.
