Godspell the Musical is Coming This November!
Excitement is building at our school as rehearsals are in full swing for this year’s major musical production: Godspell! Opening at the end of November, this vibrant and high-energy show promises to be a highlight of the school year.
Rehearsals have been underway since the very first week of term, with our talented and dedicated cast working hard under an incredibly tight schedule—just 12 weeks to bring the entire production to life! Every Tuesday and Wednesday evening, students have been staying late, learning songs, choreography, and lines to make sure the performance is something truly special.
Written by Stephen Schwartz—the legendary composer behind Wicked—Godspell is a powerful and moving retelling of the Gospel of Matthew, told through parables, song, and a unique blend of humour and heartfelt emotion. The show explores themes of community, compassion, and hope, all set to an uplifting and unforgettable rock-inspired score. It’s a story about bringing people together, and this production is doing just that.
Under the direction of Mr. Dickson, choreography by Miss Stark, and musical direction from Mr. Fletcher, with support from Miss Goodier, the team behind Godspell has poured their hearts into this show. The cast and crew are working tirelessly to create something truly extraordinary.
Adding a modern twist to this classic musical, we recently welcomed a graffiti artist to school for a special workshop. With their help, our stage is being transformed into a vibrant urban landscape, giving the show a contemporary, street-style vibe that will bring a fresh and exciting edge to the production.
