Sixth Form workshop for future Medicine and Veterinary Science applicants.
On Wednesday, 26th November, the school hosted a rigorous MMI (Multiple Mini Interview) circuit designed to test the empathy, communication and interview techniques of our potential future medics and veterinary science applicants.

Both Upper and Lower Sixth students were given the opportunity to rotate through various stations, ranging from complex mathematical calculations to challenging role-play scenarios. A special highlight was the ‘elderly German neighbour’ station, brought to life by the exceptional acting skills of Mrs. Corbett and Mrs. DiPaola. To conclude the session, every student received valuable written feedback to aid their ongoing interview preparation. Big thanks also to Mrs Ball, Dr Telchadder, Mr Segura, Mrs Boustead, Dr Shipley and Mr Parkes for giving up their time to run a station each.
The enrichment continued on Thursday with a visit from Dr. Cahal Rafferty of the Clatterbridge NHS Foundation Trust. A valued Old Bedian, Dr. Rafferty shared his inspiring journey from leaving St. Bede’s in 2010 to attending Medical School at Liverpool University and progressing into his chosen field. The session featured an insightful Q&A, allowing pupils to learn directly from his expertise.
While interview preparation continues for many, we are incredibly proud to announce that one of our Upper Sixth pupils, Travis, has successfully navigated a tricky interview process and has already received an offer for Veterinary Science. Congratulations, Travis!
