The senior’s two game series v MGS ended in a 6-2 win after an emphatic comeback after half time. Early team news saw the welcome return of Markel and Ross from respective knee injuries, much to the delight of coach Mr Brown.
The first half saw MGS take a 2 nil lead, showing more determination and hunger. Opening their account with a neat move down their left before a clean strike beat the unsighted Michael. Early chances fell to Ross and Fidele but both failed to convert. Darius kept the defence water tight dealing with his speedy and dynamic forward. Theo was a constant threat on the right creating several chances for himself and the team. MGS doubled their lead after winning a penalty down the opposite flank. Finely dispatched past the outstretched Michael who guessed the right way into the bottom corner. Malachy carried on his fine form from last week with a Carrick esque performance and was supported well by Fidele and Pat who both had growing influences on the game.
