Mrs. Claire Casson – Prep 5 Teacher
On Tuesday 23rd June, Prep 5 transformed the academic hall into our annual living Waxwork Museum, impressing visitors with their incredible portrayals of historical figures. Each pupil selected a person of significance from history, conducted independent research, and wrote a script in the first person—bringing their chosen character to life with passion and confidence.
Pupils sourced their own costumes and props, and they looked absolutely fantastic on the day. From Queens and Saints to scientists, astronauts , actresses, sports heroes, Pharaohs, musicians and civil rights leaders, each character and exhibit was unique and wonderfully portrayed.
All the children showed great fortitude by performing almost non-stop throughout the very hot afternoon to a steady stream of visitors, including all the Prep classes from Nursery to Prep 6, as well as their own, very proud families. Each pupil stayed in character, delivering their speech with enthusiasm, clarity and poise.
We are extremely proud of all of Prep 5 for the effort, creativity and confidence they demonstrated. They should be delighted with their achievements—what a memorable and inspiring event!
